LAGOS FIELD HOST NEW PASTOR

The newly inducted Lagos Field Pastor, Pastor David Ajayi, made his maiden ministerial visit to Lagos Zone 1, one of the zones under the Lagos field on the 11th of February, 2024. Zone 1 which comprises of three sister campuses; GSF LASU, GSF LASUED and GSF OGITECH met at GSF LASU for this apostolic meeting.

The meeting which was themed MORE THAN BREAD started at 9:10 am with a session of prayer. After this, the Presidents of the three fellowships gave their presidential reports which detailed their plans, programmes, and challenges as compiled by the executive bodies.

The Zonal Drama Group ministered powerfully in a movie titled: More Than Bread: a charge to continually follow Christ no matter the circumstances. The Lagos Zone 1 Mass Choir rendered their song ministration and ushered in the Speaker with Michael W. Smith’s Ancient Words.

Pastor David Ajayi who started his sermon with a song, “Spirit leads Me where my Trust is without Border”, also ministered on the theme “More than Bread”. He explained that bread is a metaphorical description of all human needs and physical satisfactions man seek to derive. These needs can be fleshly, soulish or spiritual.

He annotated that human needs are unlimited hence a daily drive to be sensual in our walk with God. If we will amount to all that God desires of us, we must prioritize feeding our soul and our spirit with the word of life which is more than bread, he opined.

Pastor David drew example from the visit of Jesus to the house of Lazarus where Martha when cumbered with many things abandoned the most pertinent of all actions, being at Jesus’ feet to hear the Saviour speak.

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

An accurate Christian must prefer to always feed his/her spirit, Pastor David exhorted. It is God’s design that man shall not live by bread alone. It is when we feed on the word that we can maximize life to its fullest.

“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”

He rounded off his sermon by charging the congregants to cultivate an habit of speaking God’s word over all situations until the desired results manifest.

The service ended with a prophetic session of blessing declarations by the Field Pastor. Also present at the Apostolic visit is the Zonal Pastor, Pastor Dare Fayemi and other assistant pastors from GSF National Executive Council.

It’s time for increase and quantum leap expansion!!!
